[In the dawn hours, a figure moves through the trees west of the village center. He's doing something to them. Hanging pieces of paper on them. The first says:]




Memorial Grove

In honor of our friends and loved ones
who were brought to Luceti
left their mark
and are no longer here.

Please leave their names
their arrival and departure dates
and your memories of them.

[The figure pins sheets of paper to three other trees, leaves a handful of flowers below each, and disappears before the sun is truly up...]

[As he vanishes, a softly-whispered message on the journals:] A shrine for our friends. In the woods behind the clinic; in the bend of the river. They will not be forgotten.
