[Now that deadly trees have stopped falling from the sky...]

[Donatello has clearly been at the site for hours already. With the help of his brother Raphael, he has marked lines in the dirt where each structure should go, and set up a table in the middle of the area. On the table are blueprints for each of the structures, held down with rocks. The one for the seesaw array has a note on the corner: Crew Chief - Sunny.

Along with the blueprints is a torn-out sheet of journal paper, bearing the following instructions:] Please choose a crew and help in whatever way you can.

The project manager is DONATELLO. [Beside this is a not-very-good drawing of a mutant turtle, with an exaggerated purple stripe across his face.]

The chief of materials is SOKKA. [Beside this, an even-worse drawing of a human ... boy? ((Feel free to use the lousiness of this drawing as an excuse for hilarious cases of mistaken identity.))]

For those who would rather not be involved in the construction itself, there are also the following jobs:

Equipment Mover. You may have noticed that our tools and materials are not on-site yet. We will need a crew of people to move them from the smithy. *Not everything is heavy! Please volunteer to carry at least one thing!

Refreshment Runner. We will need a few people to periodically go to the shops, bring back food and beverages, and serve them to the other volunteers. *Great job for kids!

Blueprint Checker. For each structure, there should be a designated person to look very carefully at the blueprints, and make sure that the structure matches them at every stage of construction. *Good for the older and wiser among us!

First Aid Provider. Construction work inevitably leads to injuries. If you are knowledgeable about first aid, please keep an eye out for anyone who needs assistance.

Anywhere there's heavy lifting to be done. Do you want to organize the materials transport?

Ah, sure. [Not really digging the idea of hanging around the smithy, but he's not gonna whine about it. He heads off in that direction.]

[ USOPP IS ON THIS LIKE WHOA. Sort of...going back and forth between areas to do smaller jobs because he's a sniper, not a carpenter and all that.

Also has a first aid kit in the bag of magical wonder, so if someone needs it, totally there. ]

[Purposely causing their paths to cross.] Hi, Usopp. It's good to see you in person again.

Donatello! [ :D ] Yeah, you too.

It's great that we finally get to build something around here, isn't it?

[ Oh and before he forgets. ]

You didn't get hit by any trees, right? Or your house? It was pretty dangerous out there.

[ Not that he's going to mother-hen you or anything. ]

The building was definitely hit - at first I thought someone had beaten me to rocket-launchers. What in the world was going on?

[ O-oh god what if it had been rocket launchers instead o-

Storytime? :3 Usopp approves, KEEP GOING. ]

Did you actually go out to look?

With compact-car-sized meteors impacting every few minutes? No, of course I didn't go outside! But when I went out the next morning it looked like the village had been hit by a tornado. I think half of the forest had turned on its side and moved into the square.

Oh, good. [ He would have had to flail otherwise. ]

...I wouldn't be surprised if that happened someday.

Neither would I. Was it just me, or were there a few extremely hot days last week?

It wasn't just you. I was sort of hoping it wouldn't start getting that hot so early.

I don't know what the weather here is normally, but - [Wiping his brow at the memory.] - I hope that was not a precursor to Lucetian summer.

[Minato has arrived to help, as he promised he would.

And so here he is, staring at the blueprints, hand on his chin.]

Hmmm...

That would be pretty bad. [ ... ] Not as hot as Alabasta, though, I think.

[Quick glance at which blueprint Minato has.] Over there.

I don't think I know where that is.

It's a desert kingdom back on my world. Really big. And hot. Took a lot of getting used to.

There were a lot of really cool animals there, too. [ ... ] Well, once you got used to them, I guess. Some of them were jerks.

... The animals were jerks?

Some of them. Like....Kung-Fu Dugongs. Well, they're really only jerks if you lose to them in a fight, though. Luffy won, though, so they followed him around trying to learn how he fought. [ He does look distinctly amused by that. ]

And there were these birds- they would all pretend to be really hurt or dying, and then they kind of ended up taking all our food. I guess they were just doing that because that's what they do, though. Still didn't like it.

[Minato looks up for a moment at Donatello and nods, before looking back down at the blueprint. A few seconds later, he looks back up, looking satisfied.] Over there? All right.

[He goes over that way where there's already a small pile of wood that had been carried there. The ninja also has a hammer in hand and some nails in his supply pack. Minato looks between the hammer and the pile of wood, then back to the hammer, utterly perplexed.

Somehow, these things are supposed to make a play fort. But...]

... Kung-Fu Dugongs. [Never mind that he and his brothers regularly refer to themselves as Ninja Turtles, this is just ridiculous.] How is that possible? They don't have legs.

Yeah, tell me about it. Kind of hard to figure out what happened until it was actually over. [ Yep, he was indeed defeated by creatures without legs. ]

[Smoker is carrying heavy things because that's basically his thing. Also being safely led away from any and all Straw-Hats because that would get messy.]
