Twenty-third Theory [Action/Voice/Accidental Video]
((Backdated to this morning, of course.))
[An earthquake in Luceti? Don doesn't know how likely that is, except that apparently it's possible.]
[Somewhere in the back of his brain, he knows that you're supposed to stand in a doorway when an earthquake hits. But as the first tremors rumble through C6, knocking Don's journal off a shelf so that it falls open on the floor, all he can think is protect Raph.]
[He throws himself over his still-bedridden brother, holding him to the mattress and trusting the springs to cushion both of them from the worst of the shaking.]
[As soon as things are quiet, he'll dash to the other room and grab his bo, in case this earthquake was caused not by movement of fault lines but by big-jawed robots chomping their way through the building.]
[Noticing the open journal, he'll shout into it.] Did anyone else feel that?

[Voice]
Do you want to move him to the house or stay put unless you have to move?
[Voice]
[Voice]
the community building is stable, but I think you and him would do better at the house anyway. And I can help you out better, there. Less people sticking their nose in, too.
[Voice]
[When you come in, Don will be rummaging in the bedroom closet for Raph's bo.]
[Voice]
...Too bad there wasn't a nearby bridge. It was going to be a long haul going along available pathing.]
How much pain is he in?
[Action]
[Finding Raph's bo, Don moves back to the bed and lays the the two weapons on either side of his brother. Then he pulls up the sheet corners from the foot of the bed and starts tying them around the staffs.]
Can you tie a good knot, Derek?
[Action]
By the time Don's asked about the knots, Derek has already caught on and started on the other side. Between his military training and rock climbing experience, he' got a good solid thing going on his side.
[Action]
You take his feet.
[If Derek has spent any time thinking about Turtle anatomy, he might notice Don has given him the easier job.]
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
Nnngh...put me down.
[Action]
Familyhousemates before others...][Action]
The walk is a long one.
By the time they get to the house, Don is half-tempted to drop Raph like a sack of potatoes. Fortunately, he is a patient and forgiving soul, and he keeps his ire in check until Raph has been safely deposited in the bed.]
Now stay there.
[Action]
But now that he's safely at the house, he'd never been so grateful to be bedridden. He buries his face in the pillow and measures his breathing, trying to regather his bearings.
Don't worry, Don, he's not going anywhere.]
[Action]
[Derek will help get Raph settled, watching over him carefully before nodding at Don once it seemed his brother was going to stay put.]
I'll go get more blankets. Need anything to drink?
[Action]
[As soon as Derek leaves the room, Don will slump against the wall, exhausted. And under his breath, but maybe loud enough to hear:] Why do you have to be so impossible.
[Action]
