Forty-Third Theory [Mostly Action]
((General post for the next two weeks or so. Preemptive tl;dr, find him anywhere, though suggestion of day/place/activity is appreciated.))
[As May begins, and as a fairly large percentage of May goes by, Donatello can be found doing the following things:
-Jogging through the woods, tracking down any signs of life detected by the departed Mr. Scott's not-really-new-and-not-exactly-improved-either tricorder. ((New Feathers, feel free to jump in here.))
-Hauling huge loads of books to and from the library.
-Studying these books - in and around House 55, at the library itself, by the fountain, at the coffee shop, alongside the river... pretty much anywhere.
-Copying diagrams from the books into his journal.
-Working at the smithy, trying to create physical equivalents of these diagrams.
-Digging through bins at the item shop.
-Practicing wind magic or good old-fashioned ninjutsu in various open areas around the edges of the village.
And a few more specific actions:]
[Don needs a few minutes of your time. If you don't dare to approach him while he's working, he'll come looking for you.]
[Some rainy evening, Don will show up at Robert's door with a duffel bag and a goofy grin. You owe him a nanocomputer demonstration - and he brought you a gift.]
Frederic, a question, if you have a minute...

[He can understand it. They usually don't have the option of seeing one. Forced to fix their own wounds.]
no subject
It's getting harder to think of any reason not to.
no subject
[Though some of them were out of their capabilities.]
no subject
I'm not wounded.

[He looks back to his sword for a moment, sheathing it when he's done. He understands why Donny wants to go. A part of him wants to go too. To check it out. It could be useful for future injuries. Especially those that are beyond their abilities.]
All right, we'll go. [He glances up at Don.] When did you plan to go?
no subject
You'll come?

Sounds good.

I definitely got to know the area outside of the village a little better.

I was uprooted, isolated from you guys. All of you were replaced in that alternate world. [Don knows well how much family means to Leo.] Between that and Karai, I just..needed time to get my head around it.
no subject
We're all still here. It didn't mean anything.
no subject
I know, I'm thankful to still have my real family here. [Because it probably would of been worse if they weren't here.]

Leo... tell me something about home?
no subject
Home?

It's noisier at home. [He doesn't mean the tv, as they have one here.] The sound of the subway rumbling through the tunnels, vehicles or people on the street. [It's stuff they knew their whole lives, learned to ignore it, some of them might of found comfort in the noise. But here it's missing.
It's interesting what you don't miss, until you don't hear it for months. Luceti has it's own sounds, but it's not quite the same as New York.]

[Tell him more.]

Running the rooftops at night. Not even because of trouble or training. Just for the fun of it. [Just to blow off steam or energy, or even to get some fresh air.]
Or just racing our way through the sewer tunnels on our scooter, and bike. [Acting like teenagers, instead of serious ninjas. This seemed so general, but Leo has the feeling Don's not asking for specific stuff.]
no subject
You should come running with me sometime.
no subject
I should. Even if the roofs are short compared to New York. [He's a little amused though.]
