Fifty-Second Theory [Action]
[Anyone visiting, or working at, the clinic this afternoon will surely hear a sudden commotion from one of the lab rooms. If they investigate, or merely wait until the perpetrators burst out of the room, they will find two anthropomorphic turtles and some kind of human-monkey hybrid, all looking quite agitated.]
[Before the bursting-out, the following exclamations may be heard through the door:]
Leo, what are you doing in my lab? And who are you?
[There's muttering after the first voice, before a second truly speaks up.]
You! What are you doing here, freak!
[There is a brief moment of silence after the second voice sounds, just long enough for the echoes to drift through the hallway. Then... a clipped, terse, but possibly-almost-recognizable voice - without its usual accent - speaks:]
If I don't get answers as to why I'm here immediately, neither of you are going to be walking out that door.

Robert fer sure and anyone else. All the people!
\o/ All the people!
This probably won't be a usual sight for Helios.]

[ Albeit you are looking quite different and strangely not yourself. This is very strange, very very strange. ]
no subject
... Audubon. That's my name.
[That's definitely a combat stance that Audubon is in. Though he doesn't rush to attack Helios, he definitely won't be above hurting him to get away if he has to.
Which Robert would never be able to fathom on his own.]no subject
N-No it's...it's not. Well not usually. Your, your name really is R-Robert. A different you is named Robert.
no subject
... What do you mean by "different"? A Turtle? [Normal?]
no subject
[ Decidedly human and without the tail. ]
no subject
There are so many of these "human" creatures here...
... That makes no sense. How could my species change? [And he's only ever been a capuchin - smaller, furrier - before. Not one of these human things.]
no subject
There's people from lots of-of different worlds here.
no subject
Still, he's not underestimating this one.]
... What do you mean, "world change"...? This obviously isn't New York, but... I didn't do anything to go to another world. [Hell, he hadn't done anything to go much of anywhere. Just a routine foray to the surface, nothing more...]
no subject
[ Helios stops in his pacing looking back at Robert. ]
Hence you coming from a different world than my own or even here. I suspect it's...a parallel dimension that they took you from, one of the many versions of Earth that there seems to be.
no subject
And then your "Robert" must come from a different one... is this "Shifting" a kind of technology?
no subject
Shifting...it m-might be. We aren't given a lot of in-information on it unfortunately.

Who are these Malnosso? I keep hearing about them - I know they're who have us trapped here, but that's it. [And they experiment on them. He wants to say they're like the Turtle scientists that ran the labs...]
no subject
An organization apparently who preform experiments on us in attempts to get us back home. They also...make us fight their war for them. [ There's a slight tone on animosity in his voice. ]
no subject
I've heard of monsters like that. I fight against them, when I can, from the shadows.
no subject
We do our best, really, but it's hard when you're stuck inside a barrier. [ A prison would be a better term but it's rather harsh to call it as such, especially to someone unfamiliar with everything. ]

Audubon begins pacing, his fur bristling as he stalks around in the lab.]
... Is there some kind of security code? I've broken those before.
