[It takes him a while to fall asleep. It takes him a while longer to fall into the kind of sleep where he isn't still mostly awake, listening for changes in Raph's breathing. But he gets there, eventually.]

[About three hours later, Raph flinches awake and lies staring blearily at the ceiling, breathing irregular. He swallows hard, debating on whether or not he should go back to sleep. At least having Don next to him is somewhat soothing.]

[No, he'll let you sleep. He's feeling better, just bad dreams. He decides to get out of bed as quietly as possible without disturbing Don and try to do something with his life today. He's in desperate need of a distraction.]
