Twenty-fifth Theory [Action]

[After putting in an obligatory appearance at the baseball game, Donatello is up to some business of his own.

At a certain point during the afternoon, you may find him wheeling a motorcycle from C6 to House 55.

A bit later, you might catch him dragging forty-gallon garbage cans filled with a strange assortment of objects along the same route.

And sometime after that, you may come upon him near the bridge on this path, surrounded by those same garbage cans. Except that they are up-ended now, their contents strewn across the ground. In the center of the mess a bizarre contraption is taking shape.

Question this strange behavior? Watch in silent bafflement? Or maybe just back away slowly.]

Heh. Go figure. Well, what do you need to make it? Blueprints and some molding casts?

A mold would help... aside from the fact that making one is nearly as difficult as making the part itself. What I really need a simpler kind of engine, something that can be made by hand.

Well the one for the Billower Bike was simple like that, but unless you've got a steady source of strong smoke or wind I don't know how you'd power it.

I keep thinking a fan-engine would work, but I always run into the problem of how to get the bike moving fast enough to engage the turbine. I need a parallel system to provide initial propulsion.

So a hybrid? [Scratches chin.] Still can't think of anything. I mean there's the basic fire, but you'd still have to have something to make it more continuous.
