Thirty-Third Theory [Action/Written]

[Donatello woke up this morning so relieved to be back in his own body that all he could do was cry into his pillow for five minutes. By the end of this catharsis, part of him felt that he really should look in on his housemates to see what state they were in today, but another part just really didn't want to know how much misery he was still in for. These two parts debated for a while, and concluded that they would do the responsible thing, but only after they had had (a) coffee, and (b) some time away from the house.]

[That decided, Donatello hauled himself out of bed, bundled up, and headed to the coffee shop to spend a few hours staring into space and downing as much caffeine as he could stand.]

[Some time around his third cup, he opens his journal and begins to write.]

Usually I'm in favor of having as much information as possible, but sometimes it really is better not to know. Things will never be the same again.

If only I could forget.

Not that I'm aware of. Ikki changed back, I think Kohaku did, though I'm not completely certain.

[Don waits patiently while a long string of punctuation marks appears after April's words. When she seems to be done emphasizing her question, he writes back:]

[At a guess, he would estimate less than the amount of time it's going to take him to get the knots out of his legs. Not that he would really know.]

[When Donnie gets back home, he can follow the sounds of a softly strumming guitar to his brother's room, interrupted with the odd off-note and a string of quiet curses.

Beyond the slightly ajar door, Raph's sitting on his bed wrapped in his electric blanket with a guitar on his lap, a look of concentration on his face.]

[Don't mind your brother, Raph. He'll just quietly let himself into your room and attach himself to your shell. He's not getting in the way of your playing, is he?]

[Nah, he doesn't mind. He even takes a break from playing to scoot over and offer him a spot under the blanket. It's really nice and warm under there.]
