[Don is feeling a little claustrophobic today. The number of vehicles he has stashed in his workroom has increased to five over the past week, and he's running out of room to build more. He'd been hoping that the wet, overcast weather would break so he could take his work outside, but that didn't exactly pan out. It is sunny today, but it's also unseasonably cold.]

[Determined to continue his work anyway, Don has shoved all the furniture out of the way and set up camp in the living room, surrounded by a mass of lightweight canvas and metal struts. Hang-glider Number Four is now Under Construction.]

[It's been quite some time since he asked a general question over the journals, so he decides to do so now. Companionable conversation is just what he needs to make the repetitive work go faster.]

If you had access to Shifting technology, and could change something about the world - what would you do? How long would you make it last?

[He also has some things he wants to talk about with Mike and Master Splinter - separately, that is. If they don't stop by while he's working, he'll be looking for them later.]

Hold this up for me? [He indicates the half-built wing he's working on.]

Sure. [He moves to grab the piece and lift it to where Don wants it, holding it there.]

[Don rolls onto his back and slides under the wing to finish locking the struts in place.]

So will you come?

[They'd used hang-gliders back home. Usually for emergencies, or when things were going on. Just to hang-glide was going to be interesting.]

Yeah, I'll come. We can make a whole trip out of it.

[A bright smile. You thought of it yourself and now he doesn't have to persuade you.]

Did you already have a plan in mind? [The smile amuses him. Oh he's missed that smile. He really has. He can guess it'll have something to do with the mountains. Since the buildings here aren't all that tall.]

Oh, you know. Teleporter to the mountains, spend some time at the hot springs, scenic day hikes, hang-gliding... Just an ordinary camping trip.

[Leo nods.]

Right, perfectly ordinary. We could all use a chance to get away for a while.

Yeah. [He slides out from under the glider and nods at Leo to let it go. It should hold itself up now.] Look, um... I'm really sorry. About all of this. [He makes a gesture encompassing the past few weeks.]

[Leo let's go of the wing, though he looks ready grab it again just in case. He drops his hand when it holds itself up. He's silent at Don's apology. After a minute he gives a nod of acceptance.]

I know you had your reasons, Donny and they were legitimate. [It's possible any of them could have acted the same way if they were in Don's position.] Things worked out in the end. [For the most part.]

[That sounded like genuine acceptance and forgiveness, if delivered with Leo's typical reserve. Don relaxes a little.]

So... what about you?

What about me?

[He can guess, but he wants to hear it first. He already apologized after all.]

You know. How have you been? Done anything interesting lately?

[Oh, well. Better than he was thinking. That's a relief.]

I've been fine. Keeping fit with training. I talked to Robert a at Mikey's party. He's a nice guy. [He means it too. The two found quyite a bit of common ground in the short time they talked.]

[Don smiles, then turns serious again.] Mike's made a lot of friends already. [There is definitely an implied question here.]

I saw. Good to see him with so many friends. Good people to have around. [He doesn't have any of his own. But it was interesting meeting Mikey's friends, even the ones he didn't know.

[Don reads the implied answer. It saddens him a little.] He said he might invite some of them to come with us.
