[Things have been remarkably normal for Don lately, a very tolerable mix of the mildly bad and the mildly good. On the one hand, he's coming down with a case of his annual flu, and he actually kind of misses his elf. On the other hand, his various lessons have been going well, he's enjoying the new toys Robert gave him for Christmas, and all the effort that went into creating the winter room has been entirely worth it.]

[In between keeping his hands and mind occupied, and lounging indolently just because he can for once, Don has made a habit of posing a random question over the journals every day. Today the low-grade fever is making it hard to think straight, so the question is a strange one:]

People. In Luceti. Are from different worlds. [Give him a minute, he's pretty sure he's going somewhere with this.] But. Some of us have a lot in common, in surprising ways. Who... Who in Luceti seems like, you know, like long-lost twins? Even if they maybe haven't met each other here yet.

Or. What combination of people here would just be... really interesting. I mean, if you put them together to make a new person. Who's different from anyone we already have.

[A long pause.]

I think I'm sick.

[He's going to. Um. Do something about that. Then he will be back to answer any comments.]

Is... that because you're a turtle? I wouldn't imagine these kind of temperatures would be very good for you.

It's a turtle-flu. Found me even in my winter room.

Turtle-flu? Is that anything like the human-flu? Are you making sure to eat very light things that won't make you worse? Is it contagious?

[She pauses for a moment, considering something.]

Do you um... want me to come over? I might be able to help you out if you're feeling too sick.

Um... yes, yes, only to other turtles, and that's okay.

[She takes a deep breath, slowing back down again.]

Sorry if I was... anxious or anything. I'm used to be very sickly myself, so it's easy for me to sympathize with your plight.

It's something that I've been plagued with all my life, so it's not like it's something I expect to easily go away... Yet since I've been here in Luceti, I think I've been healthier than I've ever been.

That... happened for me. Except for this.

Hmm... Well... I'm not sure if I'd call them identical in any sense, but Miss Aensland reminds me a lot of Amiee the shopkeeper. She and I were rather good friends back home so...

I don't know either of them... What are they like?

Well they are both very confident and older women than me, and they're both rather flirty. In Aimee's case she really had her sights set on the commander of our army, Ike... but in Morrigan's case she usually just likes all guys. They're both fairly reliable though, and a lot of fun to be around, and... I don't know quite what it is, but they seem a bit similar to me.

Do you know anybody very similar to anyone you knew back home?

[He's kind of embarrassed to admit this, but being fever-brained makes it hard to filter.]

I think Buffy is... a lot like April.

Oh! She's that blond haired girl who works at the Good Spirits bar, right? I've never actually met her in person though, so maybe you might be able to tell me what they're both like? I was hoping to talk to her about a special order for my friend Morrigan Ironically enough.

Um... yes. They're both smart and nice and kick lots of butt.

That seems a little vague, but they sound like nice people.
