Sixteenth Theory [Mass Action]
[Now that deadly trees have stopped falling from the sky...]
[Donatello has clearly been at the site for hours already. With the help of his brother Raphael, he has marked lines in the dirt where each structure should go, and set up a table in the middle of the area. On the table are blueprints for each of the structures, held down with rocks. The one for the seesaw array has a note on the corner: Crew Chief - Sunny.
Along with the blueprints is a torn-out sheet of journal paper, bearing the following instructions:] Please choose a crew and help in whatever way you can.
The project manager is DONATELLO. [Beside this is a not-very-good drawing of a mutant turtle, with an exaggerated purple stripe across his face.]
The chief of materials is SOKKA. [Beside this, an even-worse drawing of a human ... boy? ((Feel free to use the lousiness of this drawing as an excuse for hilarious cases of mistaken identity.))]
For those who would rather not be involved in the construction itself, there are also the following jobs:
Equipment Mover. You may have noticed that our tools and materials are not on-site yet. We will need a crew of people to move them from the smithy. *Not everything is heavy! Please volunteer to carry at least one thing!
Refreshment Runner. We will need a few people to periodically go to the shops, bring back food and beverages, and serve them to the other volunteers. *Great job for kids!
Blueprint Checker. For each structure, there should be a designated person to look very carefully at the blueprints, and make sure that the structure matches them at every stage of construction. *Good for the older and wiser among us!
First Aid Provider. Construction work inevitably leads to injuries. If you are knowledgeable about first aid, please keep an eye out for anyone who needs assistance.
((Free-for-all log! Comment-spam okay; thread-hopping at the discretion of the muns. Donatello may barge into your thread to check your progress, and I'll try to have him respond in a timely manner if your character is flagging him down. Have fun~!))

strangerbro, Raph's hovering behind you, ready for his next orders.]Where do ya want me?
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
He wordlessly goes back to work.]
[Action]
There's a lot here, should I help?
[Action]
If you want.
[Then he turns and heads for the door.]

[Action]
I'll be waiting for when you do.
[Action]
I ain't mad at you, y'know.
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
I just...I need some time on my own. [His eyes flick up to hers for a moment.] Okay?
[Action]
[Action]
[ action ]
Also has a first aid kit in the bag of magical wonder, so if someone needs it, totally there. ]
[ action ]
[ action ] 1/2
It's great that we finally get to build something around here, isn't it?
[ action ]
You didn't get hit by any trees, right? Or your house? It was pretty dangerous out there.
[ Not that he's going to mother-hen you or anything. ]
[ action ]
The building was definitely hit - at first I thought someone had beaten me to rocket-launchers. What in the world was going on?
[ action ]
Storytime? :3 Usopp approves, KEEP GOING. ]
Did you actually go out to look?
[ action ]
[ action ]
...I wouldn't be surprised if that happened someday.
[ action ]
[ action ]

[ action ]
There were a lot of really cool animals there, too. [ ... ] Well, once you got used to them, I guess. Some of them were jerks.
[ action ]
[ action ]
And there were these birds- they would all pretend to be really hurt or dying, and then they kind of ended up taking all our food. I guess they were just doing that because that's what they do, though. Still didn't like it.
[ action ]
[ action ]
[Action]
And so here he is, staring at the blueprints, hand on his chin.]
Hmmm...
[Action]
[Action]
[He goes over that way where there's already a small pile of wood that had been carried there. The ninja also has a hammer in hand and some nails in his supply pack. Minato looks between the hammer and the pile of wood, then back to the hammer, utterly perplexed.
Somehow, these things are supposed to make a play fort. But...]
[Action]
avoid people he knowshelp a stranger.]You look lost.
[Action] 1/2
Thaaaaat would be because I've never built anything complicated before in my entire life.
[And then he looks up at whom was just speaking.]
[Action]
He also recognizes you from that one thought bubble of Don's. The one where you were, as Don would put it, "kicking his shell" at a sparring match.
So he gives you a smile instead of asking whom and what you are.]
You're Don's brother, then?
[Action]
[He stoops down and picks up a nearby shovel.]
You could dig holes for the posts if you want. I'll take over what you're doin'.
[Action]
[Relief! Minato can do that.]
Minato Namikaze, by the way.
[And he offers to trade the hammer for the shovel.]
[Action]
[He takes that trade then kneels on the grass, smoothing out the blueprints and studying them carefully. Luckily all the wood's been cut down to size. He'll just start framing up pieces of the roof until those posts are up and ready.]
[Action]
[Minato starts digging the holes, measuring them out properly without looking at the blueprints. He doesn't need to, already having this one memorized.]
[Action]
Make sure you're diggin' on the chalk marks. We got it all mapped out.
[Action]
Been double-checking as I go, just in case. [He's good at telling distance with his eyes.] They're all just right, but better safe than sorry.

Wow, you are smart.

no subject
Nope. Absolutely nothing at all. For over a week now.

no subject
Well, he's here now.
no subject
I'd be glad to take out the passive, if that's what you want.
no subject
Is that a threat?

no subject
It wouldn't be worth my time. Either start showing up at the smithy or don't bother coming anymore.
no subject
Yeah, whatever boss. What're you gonna do? Fire me?
no subject
no subject
I'm not firing you. But it sounds like you want to quit. So if you want to, that's fine. I've got work to do, though.

A clawed foot pokes ominously from beneath one of the burlap coverings; a garish spotted train of fur from the other.
The figure stops to rest for a moment, leaning against his burdens and considering the bustling scene before him.]
1/3
2/3
Hi, I'm Donatello. Let me help with that -
[He reaches to pick up the dragging end of one of the bundles, but it must be wrapped badly, because the burlap comes undone and out tumbles what appears to be most of an animal carcass.]
3/3
[Action]
I think the word you're looking for is "amazingly fun hand-crafted toylike objects of childhood wonder."
...
Words. Words you're looking for.
[Action] icon is representative
You're that maniac with the animal skins.
Re: [Action] icon is representative
[Bet we could put that one to a vote. It'd be close.]
[Action]
[Oh, hey, but he can still do this.]
Raph!
[Action]
Instead, he tries to straighten up the fur on one of the articles, which is sporting a chalked-on serial-killer smile.]
[Action]
Hey! What's goin' on!?
[Action]
[Action]
Now, now--no need to get out the fancy knives, turtle. Jack's only tryin' to help here.
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
How many more would you like me to make? I can do more of this...roadkill...with very little effort, actually.
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
[It's not really a "you owe me a favor now voice," Raphael.
...
Okay, maybe it is. ]
[Action]
What, the cat you stole? I brought her back to the little girl you took her from.
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
[He turns to Jack again.]
Whatever. Thanks for the gesture, but I'm gonna hafta ask you to take your crap and leave.
Re: [Action]
Goddam it pirate. [Cracks knuckles menacingly, not catching all of Raph's convo.] You're just begging for a beat down.
[Action]
It's okay, Smoker. The Captain was just leaving.
[Action]
[Ooooh, what a dirty word.]
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
...
Anyone want to put a wager down on this? My guess--he gets to fifteen and then falls over backward.
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
[action]
Aye--I'll go. It's too upright around here for the likes of me...Good day, gentlemen. And marine.
[action]
Don't let people push you around like that.
[action]
[action]
[action]
[He throws a glance at Smoker.]
Thanks, by the way.
[action]
[action]
[Glance at Smoker.] What did he say to you?
[action]
[action]
[action]
[action]
[action]
[action]
[Translation: Thank you for protecting me, big brother that I love very much.]
[action]
[He claps Don roughly on the shoulder. The meaning of that is obvious enough.] We've dealt with worse, right?
