Sokka. I'm embarrassed that I didn't ask you any useful questions last week, and I'm downright ashamed that I haven't made it to the smithy yet. I need to start making up for these things, and I'm going to do that right now, by asking - what kind of materials and facilities do you have?

I'd - like to learn about magic. Not that I want to learn magic, but I've heard that's possible here, and... I just want to know... what kind of feats can be performed with these elemental abilities?

Also, if anyone here had magic in their own world, and their powers still work in Luceti - I'd like to hear about that too.

I want... [Maybe he should start at the beginning.] Much as I hate to admit it, technology is very limited here, and it seems like magic might be a better way of getting certain things done. But I can't predict what kind of magic exists, and I haven't been able to find a listing anywhere of what people here can do, so... I thought I would take that on as a project. What can I write down for you?

Anything ranging from killing people instantly to healing people. Magic has a lot of uses truly. Most are going to be uses to harm however.

Hey, don't worry about it. That kind of thing happens all the time. Anyways, it's the smithy, so the materials are obviously going to be metal. Mostly we just work with iron and steel here. I'm getting pretty good at making smaller parts, like chains and links and stuff.

What kind of tools do you have for making things? Forge? Die-press? I mostly work from found materials myself, but I doubt I'm going to stumble across any pre-made engine parts here.

I have nearly full access to all the spells I learned in my own world. I have also formed a contract with each of the spirits here to supplement my abilities.

The filial magic I've learned here allows healing and some minor elemental feats. I always recommend at least learning from the healing spirit, since it comes in handy around here. As for other filial magic, was there a particular element you were interested in?

I also have other magic that I learned in my world, though it's not as powerful in Luceti thanks to the barrier, of course. Do you want to know something specific about it, or just get a general idea?

Hello again. No, it's not for me. Magic and I don't really get along. I was more hoping to organize a kind of system where the magically-inclined among us volunteer to use their abilities for the benefit of all. Getting an idea of the ability-pool seemed like a good place to start.
